Cecil G. Anderson, 93 years, of Sturgeon Bay, died early Friday morning (February 26, 2010) at Golden Living Center-Dorchester where he had resided for the past two years.
He was born January 15, 1917 in Egg Harbor the son of the late Charles and Florence Anderson.

He grew up on the family farm in the Egg Harbor area. Cecil served his country in the United States Army.
He worked seven years for the Door County Highway Department.
Cecil was a U.S. Postal worker and delivery man for many years retiring in 1982.

On December 28, 1946 in Egg Harbor he married Ruth Helen Adams at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

He was a member of the St. Josephs Catholic Church, the Disabled American Veterans Association, and NARFE.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth of Sturgeon Bay;
son, David (Lu Ann) Anderson of DePere, WI;
two grandchildren, David Lee Anderson and Christina Anderson.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brother, Leon and sister, Fern (Edward) Kohl.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 4th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Dominic Peluse officiating. Entombment with military honors will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.. Memorials may be given in his name for St. John Bosco Catholic School in Sturgeon Bay.
