Fred J. Spurlock
HOUSTON—Services for Fred J. Spurlock, 84, will be at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of George Lewis and Son Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Houston Mausoleum.
Mr. Spurlock died Saturday.
He was a Downsville native and member of First Methodist Church in Houston. He had been in the oil business since 1921.
Survivors include two brothers, Guy Spurlock of Cutoff and Samuel Victor Spurlock of Humble, Texas; and two sisters, Carrie Roye and Linnie Grace Roberson, both of Downsville.

Retired from Mic-Continent Supply Company and a sales representative for B. F. Walker Trucking Company. Member First United Methodist Church, Houston Club, Braeburn County Club, POPS, and a Shriner.
Survivors: Brothers, S. Vic Spurlock of Kingwood, Guy R. Spurlock of Cutoff, Louisiana; sisters, Carrie Roye of Downsville, Louisiana, and Linnie Grace Roberson of Downsville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Sage Road Chapel of George H. Lewis and Sons with Dr. D. Orval Strong and the Rev. Jack Shelton officiating. Entombment Memorial Mission Mausoleum, Forest Park West Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jack W. Nickelson, J. L. Voss, J. Don Looney, Duane Hooker, Al Martin, Grover C. Colwell. Honorary pallbearers sill be Friends at Braeburn County Club and his many friends.
In lieu of usual remembrances family requests memorials go to Heart Fund.
