CHARLES & SUSAN AUGUSTINE

Charles F. Augustine, 83, formerly of 1322 S. 12th St., Manitowoc, died early Thursday morning at Manitowoc County Hospital where he had been a patient the past two years. His wife, Susan, 75, died Tuesday night at the Elm Nursing Home, Sheboygan.
A double funeral service for the couple will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Rev. Alfred Pritzl officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Augustine was born Nov. 26, 1874, in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late Peter and Barbara Brandl Augustine and prior to his retirement was a carpenter by trade. His wife was born Susan Andres Nov. 15, 1882, in the Town of Cato. They were married Feb. 10, 1902 and shortly thereafter moved to Manitowoc.

The couple is survived by nine daughters, Mrs. Helmuth Buchholz of Waupun, Mrs. Melvin Johnsrud, Mrs. Arnold Krumrey and Mrs. Robert Weber of Manitowoc, Mrs. John Horn of clover, Mrs. Stephen Doperalski of Milwaukee, Mrs. Erwin Stock and Mrs. Kurt Kuehne of Newton and Mrs. Clayton Becker of New York City; four sons, Clarence of Green Bay, Victor of Two Rivers and Ralph and Ray of Manitowoc; 30 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Two sons and a daughter preceded them in death.

Mrs. Augustine is also survived by a brother, Joseph Andres of Francis Creek, four sisters, Mrs. (illegible), Mrs. Katherine Schadweiler of Manitowoc, Mrs. Lena Herman of Francis Creek and Mrs. Rose Bleser of the Town of Manitowoc Rapids.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 7 o'clock this Thursday evening for both Mr. and Mrs. Augustine.
