Mrs. George Bentley (above) 74, of 1912-29th St., Two Rivers, and mother of the widely known artist, Lester W. Bentley, died unexpected (sic) of a heart attack at her home at 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, and at 9 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, the Rev. John K. Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Bentley, nee Mary Schaaf, was born July 17, 1883, at Tisch Mills, daughter of the late William and Pauline Koch Schaaf. When she was a child the family brought her to Manitowoc where she attended St. Boniface Parochial School. On April 28, 1906, she was married at Manitowoc to
George Bently, the couple taking up residence in Two Rivers, where she had resided since.
Besides her husband and son of Greenwich, Conn., she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Vivian) Fricke of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Helen Kelly of Manitowoc, and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 2 p.m. Friday where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
