Last rites for Karl Fritz, prominent farmer of the Live Oak Community will be held Thursday morning, February 26, 1948, at 10:00 a.m., in St. Mary's Church. Rt Rev. F. X. Wolf will officiate in the last rites. Interment will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Born in Gillespie County on February 12, 1875, the son of Kasper and Elizabeth Staudt Fritz, he had attained the age of 73 years, and 11 days at the time of his death on Monday, February 23, at 11:05 p.m..
On September 21, 1903 he was united in marriage with Miss Ida Meurer.
Survivors in addition to Mrs. Fritz, include the following children; Bruno, Margaret, Mrs. Arno Juenke; Richard, all of Fredericksburg; Elizabeth, Mrs. Norwin Crenwelge of Waco; Raymond, of Oklahoma, Leo, of Dayton, Ohio; Wilfred, of Fredericksburg. Kasper of San Antonio, Ida Jane, Mrs. Lee Gastinger of San Antonio.
Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters; John, of Bandera, Jacob, of London; August and Edward Fritz of Fredericksburg; Lina, Mrs. Frank Schmidtzensky, Anna, Mrs. Henry Weinheimer, Bertha, Mrs. Joe Besier, all of Fredericksburg, Elisa, Mrs. Max Keller of San Antonio, and 15 grandchildren.
