Shortly thereafter, he quit his teaching job and began a publicity tour across the country, making bookstore appearances and media interviews After 'Your Erroneous Zones', which eventually sold more than 35 million copies, dozens more books would follow, including 'Pulling Your Own Strings', 'Your Sacred Self', 'Change Your Thoughts-Change Your Life', 'Everyday Wisdom for Success', 'The Incredible Force', 'The Power of Intention' and '10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace'. Along with Kristina Tracy, he co-authored several children's books, among them 'Incredible You!', 'No Excuses!' and 'Unstoppable Me!'. Dyer appeared regularly on national television talk shows, including 'The Merv Griffin Show', 'The Tonight Show' and 'The Phil Donahue Show'. Dyer was a million-dollar donor to Detroit's Wayne State University, establishing a scholarship fund at the college where he earned three degrees, including a doctorate in counseling, and helped raise more than $100 million for public broadcasting, including the city's public broadcasting station, with motivational specials that ran for years.
