(1879 - 1958)

Louis Kerscher, 78, of Francis Creek, a lifelong resident of the Town of Kossuth, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening at his home of a heart attack.

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek, the Rev. Joseph Rauch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Kerscher was born June 5, 1879, in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late Wencil and Theresa Stauber Kerscher. April 19, 1910, he married the former Rose Hassemer and settled on the homestead farm where they resided since.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Wuellner of Two Rivers and Mrs. Howard Hanlon of Appleton; two sons, Raymond on the home farm and Lloyd of Manitowoc; brother, Frank of Francis Creek; four sisters, Miss Therese Kerscher of Francis Creek, Mrs. Sophia Koch of Two Rivers, Mrs. Rose Wery of Menominee, Mich., and Mrs. Joseph Kellner Sr., of Rt. 1, Whitelaw; and 11 grandchildren. A daughter, sister, step-sister and step-brother preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where the Rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m.
