THERESA KERSCHER
(1874 - 1965)

Miss Theresa Kerscher, 91, (photo) formerly of Francis Creek, and who had resided at St. Mary Home, Manitowoc, since 1962, died Monday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she was a patient for four weeks.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. John Haen will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Miss Kerscher was born May 26, 1874, in the Town of Kossuth, daughter of the late Wencel and Theresa Stauber Kerscher. She did housework at Manitowoc.

Surviving are a brother, Frank, of Francis Creek; a sister, Mrs. Rose Wery, of Menominee, Mich.; and nieces and nephews. Two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Thursday where at 8 p.m. the Rosary will be recited.

Miss Theresa Kerscher (photo) marked her birthday anniversary Wednesday at St. Mary Home, Manitowoc, where she has resided the past three years.

She was born May 26, 1874, in the town of Kossuth, daughter of the Late Wencel and Theresa Stauber Kerscher. Her grandfather came from Germany, settled here and lived to be 99 years old. Miss Kerscher worked for many years in Manitowoc and moved to Francis Creek about 1932. She is a member of St. Ann Catholic Church of Francis Creek.

She has one brother, Frank Kerscher, of Francis Creek, and a sister, Mrs. Rose Wery of Menominee, Mich. Deceased are two brothers, Louis and Wolfgang, of Francis Creek, and four sisters, Mrs. Charles (Anna) Hessel, Mrs. John (Mary) Ewen, Mrs. Joseph (Bertha) Kellner, of Francis Creek, and Mrs. Matt (Sophie) Koch of Two Rivers. She has 29 nieces and nephews, 80 grand nieces and nephews, and more than 50 great grand nieces and nephews.
