Mrs. Rose Reif, 97, of Francis Creek, died Friday evening, May 21, at Two Rivers Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. James Massart and the Rev. John Haen will celebrate the Mass of Resurrection and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Reif was born Dec. 7, 1884, in the Town of Kossuth, daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara Hutterer. She was married to Matt Reif, Oct. 26, 1905, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The couple operated a farm in the Town of Kossuth. Mr. Reif preceded her in death Oct. 6, 1949. Mrs. Reif moved to her present home in Francis Creek in 1954. She was the oldest member of St. Anne Church, a member of Christian Mothers and the Altar Society of the church.
Survivors include three sons and four daughters-in-law, Wilbur and Elma of Manitowoc, Edwin and Mary Jane of Route 2, Manitowoc, Robert and LaVerne of Route 1, Whitelaw, and Martha Reif of Manitowoc; six daughters and four sons-in-law, Laura and Donald Shaw of Manitowoc, Marie of Francis Creek, Helen and Irvin Jahn of Green Bay, Rosella Doyle of Manitowoc, Florence and Clarence Kubsch of Two Rivers, and Arlette and Marvin Rozanski of Manitowoc, 25 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Clarence; two brothers; six sisters ;three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, after 4 o'clock this Sunday afternoon and Monday until the time of services. A prayer service will be conducted at 8 o'clock this Sunday evening by Father Massart, Christian Mothers, and the Altar Society.
