Lorna “Lori” Hoff, age 60, of 224 Maple Street, Whitelaw, WI, entered eternal life on Friday, January 9, 2015 at her residence after a 1 ½ year battle with cancer.
Lori was born January 19, 1954 in Manitowoc, WI. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Marie Tuschel Helgeson. Lori attended Valders High School and graduated with the class of 1972. She was employed at the Collins State Bank for 41 years, retiring as Vice-President in 2013. On May 23, 1981 she married Robert Hoff at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Clarks Mills. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2005. Lori was a caring and giving person. She loved to entertain family and friends at her home. Her family was very special to her, especially her grandson, Vinni.
She is survived by her children, Jessica L. Hoff and her significant other, Blaine Hopp, Whitelaw; Jamie L. Hoff, San Diego, CA; one grandson, Vinnie; her newborn granddaughter, Serena Marie; four sisters and one brother, Joan (Tony)Fessler, Manitowoc, WI; Judy (Bill) Heinzen, Manitowoc, WI; Karen (Ken) Schuler, Kiel, WI; Allen (Arlene) Helegeson, Manitowoc, WI; Vicki (Jim) Dworak, Cato, WI; two sisters-in-law, Carol Helgeson, LuAnn Helgeson; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Marie Helgeson; husband, Robert Hoff; two brothers, Stan Helgeson and Howie Helgeson.
Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 8100 Brunner Road, Newton. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Beaudry. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at which time a prayer service will be held to conclude the visitation led by Rev. Dave Beaudry. The visitation will continue at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Lori’s cremated remains will be laid to rest by her husband, Bob at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Clarks Mills at a later date.
