Services for George Jop Noland, 82, of
504 E. 11th will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in
the Ford-Wulf-Bruns Edgewood Chapel with burial in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Noland died late Sunday night (Jan. 24, 1993) in his home.
He was born Oct. 9, 1910, in Dodge, Okla.,
to George L. and Myrtle (James) [sic-(Jones)] Noland. He moved to Chetopa with his family as a young boy and attended school there. After his schooling he began working as a pipefitter on construction throughout the United States.
On Dec. 22, 1933, he married Lottie McIntosh in Nowata. They made their home at various job locations before moving to Coffeyville
in 1960. Mr. Noland retired in 1975.
He was a member of the United Association Union Local No. 165 in Topeka and Anna Masonic Lodge No. 520 A.F. & A.M. in Anna,
Ill.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Gary Lee
of the home, a brother, Wilbert "Skelly"
of Hemet, Calif.; five grandchildren; and
12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded
in death by his parents; a son, Billie Joe;
a daughter, Shirley Ann; and one brother."
