For the past ten years, Jody fiercely battled multiple illnesses. Her positive attitude was an inspiration to all who knew her. Jody is lovingly remembered for her kind, giving heart, gentle soul, and goofy sense of humor. She loved to laugh!! Jody loved to watch the birds, going for rides to look for wildlife, napping with her kitties, and especially spending time with her family.
Jody is dearly missed by her husband of 51 years, Gary; her children: Brett (Brigid Molony), Holly (Steve) Wiesler, Robin (Scott) Vande Hei and Trisha (Robert) Connolly; her grandchildren: Meagen Schievink, Stephanie (Zach) Holt, Kayla Walters, Danielle Walters, Sean Molony, Savannah and Henry Walters; Maija, Spencer and Kassidy Birzgalis; Emily and Hannah Vande Hei, and great-grandchildren: Bryce, Jadyse and Kael Schievink, Benjamin Gokey Walters, Serenity Schwartzenberger, Landyn and Mason Brooks; Max Frydrych, and one on the way.
She is further survived by her siblings: Gene Voelker, "twin sister" Lorna Converse, Al (Marge) Voelker, Linda Voelker, Dick (Cheryl) Voelker, Wayne (Mary) Voelker and Verlon Voelker; and her "sister of the heart" Barb Anderson; her brothers and sisters-in-law: Judy (Rich) Podraza, Darlene (Dick) Behnke and Rick (Barb) Walters. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Missing her also are her kitties: Gracie and Sassy.
Jody was met in Heaven by her parents, George and Gertrude Voelker; her in-laws, John and Irene Walters; sister, Lora; brother, Henry; twin brother, Jay; brother-in-law, James Converse; sister-in-law, Margie Voelker; nephew, Mike Voelker; and niece, Desiree Walters. She was also met by many beloved furry best friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until time of services at 4 p.m. Pastor Kevin Dembinski will be officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery.
