Barbara Adele Maunder (née Gilbert) - Passed away peacefully at Frost Manor in the presence of family, on Friday, November 1, 2013, at the age of 88. She will be sadly missed by John, her loving husband of 64 years. She was a devoted mother to Gilbert (Elizabeth), Roblyn Maunder-Tetzlaff (Paul) and Adele Proulx (Roger), and proud Nana to Craig (Kylie), Lacey (Paolo) and A.J. Barbara grew up in Aurora, Ontario, and enjoyed a close relationship with her four brothers: Anson and John, both now deceased, Bud and Gary. She studied home economics at the MacDonald Institute (now part of the University of Guelph) and worked as a dietitian before starting her family. A memorial visitation will be held at Cambridge Street United Church, 61 Cambridge Street North, Lindsay, on Thursday, November 7th at 11:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of life service at 11:30 a.m. Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
