Kathleen Geraldine Loethen, 81, Topeka, passed away, Saturday, July 30, 2005, at her home.
Kathleen was born December 19, 1923 in Ethel, Missouri, the daughter of Charly and Claudia Abertine Ratliff. She graduated from High school from Bucklin, MO. She moved to Topeka in 1956.
On September 22, 1948 she married Wayne Douglas Loethen, who preceded her in death in 1977.
Kathleen was also preceded in death by two children, Michael Wayne and Marcia Kathleen, and her siblings, Ruby Powell, Herschel Ratliff, Ned Ratliff, Milo Ratliff, Vera Tuttle, Jewell (Jick) Ratliff, Charles (Hoppy) Ratliff, and Martha Douglas.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons Martin Loethen, Topeka, Paul Loethen, Osawatomie; a daughter Claudia Bowhay, Hoyt, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthews Catholic Church. Burial will be in Marceline, MO at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, with a graveside service beginning at 3:30.
