Donald Eugene Greenwood, 83, of Bradenton, FL passed away Friday, December 8, 2000 at Blake Hospital in Bradenton FL. Mr. Greenwood was born on October 20, 1917 in Alexander, IL the son of Fred and Ada Pointer Greenwood. He later married Alice Raisch and she preceded him in death on December 25, 1981. He then married Helen "Jeri" Keerns in Danville, IL at the Vermilion Heights United Methodist Church on May 29, 1983 and she survives.

Mr. Greenwood was a veteran of World War II and was wounded while in France. He received the purple heart, two bronze stars and many other decorations. Mr. Greenwood worked as a supervisor for R.B. Evans Company for 35 years and then for the state of Illinois where he retired in 1983. He was a member of the Vermilion Heights United Methosist Church in Danville, IL.

He was preceded in death by his first wife; and his parents.

He is survived by his wife: Helen; one son and one daughter; one brother and one sister; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, 3 step children, 7 step grandchildren, and twelve step great grandchildren.

Funeral services at Kirlin-Egan Butler Funeral Home with Rev Gary Motta officiating. Entombment in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
