Greenview, July 11. - Miss Marietta Ray Gibbs died at 8:30 a.m. July 11, 1938 at her home after an illness which lasted eighteen months.
Miss Gibbs was born Feb. 9, 1886 in Greenview and resided in the community all of her life.
She is survived by a brother, Grant Gibbs, of Greenview; five sisters, Mrs. Addie Burrus, Mrs. Sadie Price, Mrs. Minnie Means, of Greenview; Mrs. Josie Knowles, of Middletown; and Mrs. Carrie Estill, of Athens.
Funeral services were held in Irish Grove church.
Interment was in Irish Grove cemetery.
