Lois was born Sept. 3, 1920, in Lacon to Clarence and Ruth (Tamblyn) Bean. She married Guy V. Ingold on Dec. 17, 1938 in Washburn, Illinois. He preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1985. Her parents; one infant son, Paul Eugene and one daughter, Karen Hallam, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Richard (Janice) Ingold and Michael (Brenda) Ingold; two daughters, Betty (Walt) Ulrich and Kathy (Gene) Schneider; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Frank Bean.
Lois was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Washburn and a member of U.P.W., United Presbyterian Women, a charter member of the Eastern Star and an active member of the Washburn American Legion Auxiliary.
She was homemaker, raising her family. She also did babysitting in her home and was a hostess at the Washburn Inn in Washburn until its closing.
