David is the son of David CREWS, Sr. He married Catherine SPARROW on the 24th of September 1805 in Halifax Co., Virginia. He married Martha B. MOSLEY on the 26th of February 1821 in Halifax Co., Virginia. The exact location of the 'Crews Family Graveyard' is unknown. In Chancery Court Records, Huntingdon, Tennessee filed 1881, D. H. CRUISE, etal vs. J. W. CRUISE, etal; alias Boss CRUISE, states that the land that originally belonging to David CREWS, who died April 1843, was to be sold to satisfy complainants and that there was "one acre reserved, it being the family grave yard", and was not sold. Most likely David is buried in this graveyard which would be located on his property in the 17th district of Carroll Co., Tennessee. These court records also lists all of his children whether living or dead and many of his grandchildren.
