Abstract--age 82, of Kingwood, died March 3, 2002, at Preston Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 15, 1920, in Newburg, s/o the late Henry "Smith" and Shirley Maier Shay. He was a WW II veteran. He is survived by two sons and spouses, James E. and Jaquelyn Shay, of Kingwood, and Gary A. and Madeline Shay, of Leland, N.C.; one daughter, Linda Shay, of Philadelphia; one brother, James B. Shay, of Sulphur, Okla.; three grandchildren, Jennifer Baylor and husband Scott, James Shay Jr., and Madusta Stump; and two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Baylor and Morgan Baylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Beryl Shay, on Feb. 15, 1997. Internment was in the Maplewood Cemetery in Kingwood.
