Retha J. Watson age 96 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Newton County Nursing Home in Jasper, Arkansas.
The daughter of Oscar and Luia Brown, she was born March 26, 1912 at Nail, Arkansas.
Retha had lived in the Japser area all of her life and was of the Baptist Faith. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband Loyd Watson, son, Dennis Watson; an infant daughter; grandson Larry Watson; Sisters Cora Young, Gladys Clayborn,and Ida Pruitt; Brothers, Doy, Howard, and Jack Brown.
Survivors are her Daughter-in-law, Inas Watson Moseley of Harrison, Ar; Brother, Eugene Brown and wife, Dean of Kansas City, Mo; Grandchildren, Rick and wife Jamie Watson of Harrison; Great Grandchildren, Ryan, Kayla, Adriann,and Camden Watson; Great Great Grandchildren, Xander Watson, and Emma Soto.
Service will be Saturday March, 7th 2009, at 2 pm at Coffman Chapel in Jasper.
Officiating; Rev. Bobby Young
Pallbearers; Rick Watson, Ryan Watson, Wallace Clayborn, R.B. Clayborn, Ronnie Daniels, and Gene Daniels.
Honorary Pallbearers; Newton Co. Nursing Home Nurses and Staff, and Dr. Jimmy Justice.
Interment was in Jasper Cemetery, Jasper, AR.
