Ernest Cleveland Hankins died Monday 18 Feb 1985 at the age of 68 y 1 m 7 d at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac from Pneumonitis, CVA, and Heart Attack. Survivors included his ex-wife; 1 son; 9 daughters; 14 granddaughters; 10 grandsons; 2 brothers; 4 sister. He was preceded in death by 1 son, Robert Walter Hankins Sr 18 Jul 1979; his parents, John & Lucille; 3 brothers, John De Lancie Hankins 26 Apr 1973, Fredie Hankins 28 Jun 1900, Robert Louis Hankins 22 Sep 1976, and PFC Donald W Hankins 23 Dec 1944; 1 sister, Infant Hankins 20 Dec 1920; 3 grandsons, Gregory Allen Yager 26 Aug 1961, Douglas James Yager 20 Nov 1970, Robert Walter Hankins Jr 24 Aug 1969; and 2 granddaughters, Cynthia Kay Yager 16 Jul 1964, and Jane Lee Yager 26 Mar 1972.
Burial was in Mesick-Sherman Memorial Cemetery in Mesick.
