Rudolph M. Zaitz, 49, owner of an automobile repair garage in Antigo, died at 1:30 yesterday afternoon after being stricken with a heart attack at his home. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Langlade County Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Zaitz had been an automobile mechanic all of his life. He was part owner of a garage on Dorr street for some years and then built a garage at his home, 910 Virginia street.

He was born in Leadville, Colo., on June 27, 1905, a son of Joseph Zaitz and Helena Vidmar Zaitz, and came to Antigo with his parents at the age of nine.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

He was married in Antigo to Virginia Thompson on Dec. 30, 1929.

Surviving besides his wife, are two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Shirley) Koeppel and Mrs. Eugene (Judy) Pavek both of Antigo.

He is also survived by five grandchildren; his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Joseph Zaitz, of Antigo; four brothers, Frank and Albert, of Deerbrook, John, of Antigo, and Joseph, of Milwaukee; and three sisters, Mrs. Louis (Mary) Chadek and Rose Zaitz, of Antigo, and Mrs. Charles (Helen) Malish, of Deerbrook.
