John L. Courtright, 79, of 196 Amazon Place, Columbus, died the morning of March 1 in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Gatch Courtright; a sister Mrs. Frank (Margery)Simpson, Chillicothe; a niece, Mrs. Michael (Mary K.)Hodges, East Lansing, Mich.;a nephew, Frank Dudley Simpson, Zionville, Ind.

Mr. Courtright, a retired technician of Battelle Memorial Institute, was a graduate of Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y. He was a member of Magnolia Lodge No 20 F.& A.M. and the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors.

Private service was Sunday at the Rutherford Funeral Home, Columbus. Burial followed in Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus.
