Pearl was the daughter of George Lawrence and Ada Belle (Freeland) Crawford. She married (1) Ray Alexander Sides in 1921 and they had four children: James Nevin, William Harlon, Antha Neal and Minnie Pearl 'Macie'. She married (2) Owen Monroe Moose in 1940.

Mrs. Pearl Crawford Sides Moose, 64, route 3, Albemarle, died at 2 a.m. Monday at Stanly Memorial Hospital after a serious illness of one day. She had been in declining health for many years.
A native of Iredell County, she was born on April 8, 1902, and was a daughter of the late George L. and Ada Freeland Crawford.
Surviving are two sons, James N. Sides of route 3, Albemarle, with whom she made her home, and William H. Sides, route 2, Cleveland; two daughters, Mrs. John Howell Harkey of Albemarle and Mrs. J. E. Murdock, route 1, Statesville; a sister, Mrs. Arlie Johnson, route 4, Statesville; three brothers, Ralph Crawford, lester Crawford and Everette Crawford, all of Statesville; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hillside Baptist Church in Albemarle, with burial to follow at Salem Baptist Church cemetery in Albemarle.
The body is at Leftler's Funeral Home in Albemarle. The family will receive friends at the James N. Sides residence, route 3, Albemarle.
