Peter W. Waugh Dies at Residence
Peter W. Waugh, 74, a resident of Montana for the past 30 years, died Thursday at the family home, 1927 Seventh avenue north. His wife died two months ago on June 20.
Waugh, who was born at Winston-Salem, N. C., March 4, 1871, came to Montana in 1915, entering the employ of the A. C. M. Co. He continued with the company until his retirement this summer. He also operated the Waugh grocery at his home address for 15 years prior to his retirement when his son, Robert K. Waugh, took over the management.
Besides his son, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. M. Morris of Greensboro, N. C.; and three grandchildren, Virginia Weeks and Shirley Waugh of Great Falls, and Robert W., seaman second class in the navy. The grandson was in Great Falls in June for Mrs. Waugh's funeral while his ship was in port after service in the South Pacific.
Waugh was a member of the smeltermen's union.
