George S. Stitt, one of New York's oldest lawyers died Wednesday at his residence, 21 Beekman Place, New York City. Mr. Stitt was born in Wallkill, Orange County, March 8, 1817. He was a member of the famous class of '39' of Rutgers College. Mr. Stitt had been clerk and counsel of the collegiate Dutch Reformed Church of New York City since 1856. He survived his wife 17 years, but leaves three sons and a daughter."
