MARK WILLITS
Mark was the son of Isaac and Rachel Brady Willits. He was born on 11/29/1800. Quacker records state that he transferred his membership from West Grove Monthly Meeting to Milford Monthly Meeting in Wayne County on 10/23/1824. He was dismissed at Milford on 11/27/1824 for deviating from plainness of dress and address and for neglecting attendance.

Mark Willits married Harriett Fox in Henry County, Indiana, on 11/30/1824. She was a daughter of Martin Fox of Connecticut, and was born about 1807 in New York.

After their marriage they lived in Indiana for several years. Their first four children were born there before the family had migrated to Mercer County, Illinois about 1835 where at least five more of their children were born.

Mark Willits became a physician and was the first resident doctor of New Boston, Illinois. He attended his father Isaac during his illness in Mercer County, Illinois in the 1840's, along with his partner Edmond Harrell.
