MANNING-On the 29th inst, THOMAS F. MANNING. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, on Saturday morning, at 8 o'clock, from his late residence, 2635 Christian St. Solemn requiem Mass at St Anthony's Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Phila Inquirer October 1, 1903.

Aged 62 years, occupation Tailor. After much research I believe the correct surname is Mannion not Manning. It's very likely he came from Tobercurry, Co Sligo, Ireland.

His death certificate states he was married and a mechanic. Cause of death--complications from a fall down a flight of stairs.

Married 1873 in St Teresa Avila parish, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, sponsors were Joanne Smith & Maria Doherty.
Maiden name of the bride was Doherty not Dougherty in the parish record.
