She was born April 18, 1905, in Waynesburg, a daughter of Josephus and Rose Davis Smith.
Mrs. McMasters was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Lippencott.
Her first husband, James Ewing Crayne, died July 20, 1951. She later married Asa McMasters, who died March 13, 1982.
Surviving are four daughters, Martha Jean Richards of Blairsville, Patricia Nesta of Hicksville, N. Y., Mary Lamb of Galion, Ohio, and Mrs. Robert (Rose Marie) Smith of Waynesburg, with whom she made her home; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons, John Joseph Crayne and James Ewing Crayne Jr.; and a sister, Goldie Peterson.
