SHREVE, Elias, 79 of Jacksonburg, died May 6, 1963. He was born February 2, 1884 in Smithfield, the son of Joseph and Sherlida Price Shreve. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife, Mary Malissa Shreve, two daughters, Mrs. Mary Vane of Alma, Mrs Nora Lemasters of Mentor, OH, three sons, Ardell of Cleveland, VA, Carson of E. Liverpool, OH, Ray of Willoughby, OH, a brother, Jesse of Hundred, a sister, Mrs. Maude Adams of Dola, 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Services were held at the Jacksonburg Church of Christ and burial was in the Shreve Cemetery.
Elias died at Weston State Hospital from heart disease. He was a patient there for approximately one month before his death. His death certificate reflects the date of death as May 5.
