Marvin Wamsley
POINT PLEASANT - Marvin Wamsley, 39, of 20 Main Street, died as a result of the Silver Bridge disaster. His body was recovered from the Ohio River Tuesday afternoon.
Born in Point Pleasant, he was a son of Mrs. Mollie Smith Wamsley and the late William Wamsley. He was a veteran of World War II and was employed by the Point Towing Co.
He is survived by his mother; a daughter, Karen, of Columbus; two sons, Randy and Rocky of Columbus; three sisters,, Mrs. Thomas (Ethel) Reynolds Jr. and Mrs. Charles McDermitt of Point Pleasant and Mrs. Jesse Abel of New Haven; and six brothers, Rodney, Charles, Lloyd and William of Point Pleasant, Cecil of Gallipolis and James Robert of Columbus.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home with the Rev. H.A. Wilcoxen officiating. Burial will be in Suncrest Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Wednesday.
