The Oklahoman, Thursday, Feb 21, 1963:
George T. Copeland, 63, an Oklahoma City businessman, died Wednesday in his home, 4809 N. Everest. Services will be 2 pm Friday in St Luke's Methodist Church with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery under direction of Capitol Hill Funeral Home.

Copeland was on the board of directors of the Oklahoma National Bank, owner of Mr C. Supermarket, NE 36 & Kelley, and associated with the Jones Boys Capitol Food Stores.

He was active in the Salvation Army, past president of the Capitol Hill Kiwanis Club, and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of St Luke's Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn, of the home; two daughters, Mrs Jack Jessup Jr (Vonda Jessup), 2112 NW 25; and Mrs A. W. Finkica Jr (Loretta Finklea), 1324 NE 54; two sisters, Mrs George Anderson, Joplin, MO; and Mrs Norine Dennis, Enid; Hugh, Wilson, OK: and Gilbert, Wichita, KS.

Daughter: Vonda Jean Copeland Jessup born 1928, married Jack W. Jessup 21 Oct 1948 in Oklahoma County, OK.

Daughter: Loretta Gladys Copeland 1932-2015, married Asa W. Finklea Jr who is buried at Resthaven Cemetery. Loretta G. Copeland Brazil died 10 Aug 2015 in Huntsville, AL.
