Jacob Turlington


Jacob S. Turlington, 79, of 301 Concord Road, Hampton, died Wednesday in Riverside Hospital after a long illness.


He was a native of *York County and was a lifelong Peninsula resident.


Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Georgia Goo and Mrs. Mary Watson, both of Hampton, and Mrs. Margaret Ann Pedrick of Chester, Pa.; three sons, Carl C. Turlington of Newport News, Charles P. Turlington of Hamptonand Peter E.. Turlington of Gloucester; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.


A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Peninsula Funeral Home by the Tev. G. Thorton Hall, pastor of Central Methodist Church.


Pallbearers will be Kenneth Turlington, James Turlington, Larry Turlington, Michael Goo, Leo Goo and Thedford Watson.


The family will be at the Peninsula Funeral Home 7 to 9:30 p.m. today.
