Roxie Pauline Workman Basnett 97, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away February 23, 2012 at Worthington Manor Nursing Home.

She was born June 26, 1914 in Harrison County, W.Va. a daughter of the late Wesley and Della Dodd Lamm.

Roxie lived in Vienna for over 78 years. She worked at several area restaurants and retired from G.C. Murphy's cafeteria. She loved her family and enjoyed being with them.

She is survived by one son, Edward W. Workman (Diana) of Walker, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, Bill, Jill, Betsy, Rebecca, Samuel, John and Todd, and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Workman; her second husband, Ray Basnett; two sons, Fred and Dick Workman, three grandchildren, Joseph, Kim and Scott Workman; and eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 27, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave, Vienna,W.Va. with Pastor Jim Lynch officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home. Roxie's family will gather at the Lambert-Tatman Family Center in Vienna after the graveside services.
