Sally was raised at Phoenix where her father was in the saloon business. She was the daughter of John Snead and Henrietta Willis Snead. Sally married to John More on 14 February 1910 at San Diego, California. They made their home at this place where her husband was a conductor with the San Diego Electric Railway. Sally and John were the parents of two daughters, Marjorie Della More and Mary Edwina More. Sally married next to William Lodge Shotwell at San Diego about 1919. They made their home first at San Diego and later at San Francisco where her husband was a builder. Sally and William were the parents of two sons, William Lodge Shotwell, Jr. and Donald Grant Shotwell. Sally was a member of White Squadron #90, Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of Navy Mother Club #202.
