Mrs. Cora Loy, 77, widow of Thomas Loy, died today at the Bartholomew county hospital following a 1-month illness. She lived on Route 6.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Barkes and Inlow funeral home by the Rev. Jewell Dewees. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Persons may call after 2 p.m. Thurs. at the funeral home.

Born in Bartholomew county March 27, 1890, she was the daughter of Jacob and Sarah Pittman Bless. July 4, 1908, she was married to Mr. Loy. He died Feb. 6, 1953. Mr. Loy was a member of the New Zion Methodist church.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Paul Dobbs of 271 Smith street, Mrs. Robert Foster of Edinburg route 2, Mrs. Ira Shafer of 31 South Mapleton street, Mrs. Robert Bartley of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Robert Wade of Elizabethtown route 1; two brothers, Carl Bless of Route 6 and Walter Bless of Toledo, Ohio; 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Harold Loy, July 17, 1963, and a sister.
