John Riley Essex Graveside services for John Riley Essex, 64, Jacksonville, will be Sunday in Jarratt Cemetery with the Rev. Randle Ford officiating, under direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Jacksonville. Mr. Essex died Saturday at his home. He was born in Iowa, had lived in Jacksonville 20 years, was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Baptist church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3984.

He is survived by his mother Mrs. Anne Mae (BENNETT)Essex of Dallas; three brothers, Sherwood Chester Essex of Jacksonville, Robert James Essex of Dallas and Lenard Joseph Essex of Alabama; one sister Charlene /Mrs John White of Lake Palestine and nieces.-----
