Grew up on a farm near Reedsville, WI. Enlisted in Army, served in Red Arrow Division during WWII. He recieved numerous medals including the Purpe Heart. After discharge, he married Bulah Laughter, together they returned to WI where he took over the family farm. They farmed for a number of years. After retiring he moved to Manitowoc. It was in Manitowoc, at St Mary's Nursing Home, that he passed away.
