Miss Ann Matkins, 78, died at the home of her nephew, Earl Matkins with whom she lived 17 May 1926. She was born in Logan County, Kentucky 23 December 1847 the daughter of Daniel W. Matkins. She moved to Macon County in 1850 and has made her home here since. She is survived by two brothers and two sisters. They are William S. Matkins of Macon, E. P. Matkins of Bevier, Mrs. Martha Rutledge of Macon and Amanda Simmons also of Macon. Interment in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
