Mrs. Mahala Peck Dies at Chaumont Mrs. Mahala McPherson Peck, widow of Newton E. Peck, died Friday evening last week at the home of her son, Lansing E. Peck, Chaumont. Mrs. Peck had been in failing health for a year. Death was caused by pneumonia which followed a long illness. Mrs. Peck was born in Canada, February 4, 1863, daughter of George and Mary Lansing McPherson. She had lived in Chaumont for the past fifty-one years. She was married to Mr. Peck at Chaumont in 1892. Mr. Peck died a number of years ago. Mrs. Peck was a member of the Chaumont Methodist Episcopal church. Surviving are two sons, George E. Peck, of Norfolk, and Lansing; E. Peck, of Chaumont, and two brothers John McPherson, of Chaumont, and William McPherson, of Three Mile Bay. The funeral was held from the home at 2:30 Monday afternoon with Rev. William H.
