Sandra L. Meighen 72, Kokomo, died at 6:12 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at Howard Regional Health System. She was born July 26, 1938 in Wheeling West Virginia, the daughter of John J. and Mary Catherine (Henry) Meighen. Sandra had lived in Kokomo since 1970.

Sandra was a 1956 graduate of Tridelphia High School in Wheeling and a graduate of West Liberty State College in West Liberty, WV. She was a dental hygienist at Dr. Michener and Dr. Hal King's office.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, but did enjoy playing the slot machines.

Sandra is survived by her brother, Michael G. Meighen and wife Karen C. of Cocoa Beach, Florida; two nieces, Terry Laudermilt and Sandra Meighen, both of Huntsville, Alabama; one nephew, Mark Meighen of Cocoa Beach, Florida and several great cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, West Virginia, with Pastor Timothy Allen officiating.

Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 West Lincoln Road is assisting the family with arrangements.
