Charles N. Archer

Charles N. Archer, 80, a resident of Sistersville, died Tuesday afternoon at 12:30 following an illness of a few weeks. Mr. Archer was a retired oil well driller and was born in Tyler County, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John A. Archer.

He is survived by his wife, Effie G. Archer; three children, Mrs. William J. Bishop of Sao Paulo, Brazil; William A. Archer of Sherwood, Ore.; and Billy K. Archer at home; three brothers, Lyle, Schuyler, and Blaine Archer also survive.

Funeral services were held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Archer Chapel with the Rev. Grover Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Archer cemetery.
