Silent Film Actor. He was one of the most popular leading men of the silent era. After a start in vaudeville, he entered films in 1909, and quickly became a star. He was known as "The Gibson Man," because he was as handsome as the Gibson Girl was beautiful. Kerrigan appeared in scores of films before his retirement in 1924, at the height of his success.
