She had lived in Ely and Tower at the logging camps where her father Harvey Dillon was employed. Sherry graduated from the Tower High School and after her marriage to Duane Simonson they settled and lived in Cook for many years.
She enjoyed blueberry picking and loved being in the country where she enjoyed nature and solitude. She especially liked her cats and dogs.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents: Gloria and Harvey Dillon; husband, Duane Simonson; brother Barry Dillon and great granddaughter Olivia Cornelius.
She is survived by her children: Joe (Kathy) Simonson and Tammy (Brian) Cornelius; brothers: Gerald and Dick LaFlex; sister: Sandy Bergman; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
