Dorothy Williams Farnworth
Dorothy Williams Farnworth peacefully completed her mortal journey on July 30, 2008, surrounded by her loving family.
On the cold wintry day of December 20, 1924, she entered this world as the second daughter of Vern LeRoy Williams, Sr. and Lyle Elizabeth Robertson Williams. She received her education in Orem graduating from Lincoln High School in 1943. She married H. Earl Farnworth on May 16, 1945, in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings throughout her life and will be especially remembered for her endless acts of selfless compassionate service to her family, friends and neighbors.
Dorothy is survived by her eternal companion, Earl; her two daughters, Karen (Donald L.) Noel, Longview, Washington; Marsha (Bill) Webster, Murray, Utah; 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Darrell Williams, Arva Williams Eggleston Hulschof and a grandson Darwin Todd Webster.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the LDS Humanitarian Fund in Dorothy's name.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2008, at the Orem 6th Ward Chapel, 365 South 900 East, Orem, Utah. Family and friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem and Monday morning from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment will be held at the Orem City Cemetery.
