Ann Butt Abbott, 81, passed away Oct. 1, 2015, at home with her family by her side. She was born in Norfolk, and was the daughter of the late Herman Butt & Lucille Evans Butt.
Ann was first a loving and devoted wife and mother of three daughters. She was also a retired Pre-K Teachers Assistant with the Norfolk Public Schools, and a lifelong member of Ocean View Presbyterian Church, where she lovingly taught Sunday School.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 63 yrs, Joseph E. Abbott, Jr.; 3 daughters, Cindy Duncan & husband Brennan of Fayetteville, GA, Jo Ann Rapisardi & husband Raymond and Trudy Abbott, all of Norfolk; a brother, Robert Butt & wife Pat of North Carolina; 5 grandchildren, Megan Oden & husband Rob, Joseph Rapisardi, Anthony Rapisardi & wife Theresa, Allyson Duncan and Lauren Duncan; a great grandson, Ben Rapisardi; and her beloved Abbie.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, at Ocean View Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel handling arrangements.
