Born in Winsted, daughter of Robert and Dorothy Jacquier of East Canaan. As a youth, Cindy was actively involved in the 4-H dairy and sewing programs. She was awarded the 4-H Key Award for her contributions to her community as an outstanding citizen. She was a member of the North Canaan Congregational Church and worked as a loan officer at the former Canaan National Bank until her illness. The family wants to thank the staff at Geer for their loving and long term care of Cindy for the past 20 years.
She leaves her parents, Bob and Dot Jacquier of East Canaan; her daughter, Amy Adams; her grandchildren, Kristoffer and Karmela Quinion of Falls Village; and her three brothers, David and Peter of East Canaan, and Philip of Southwick, Mass., and their families.

A celebration of Cindy's life will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at North Canaan Congregational Church, East Canaan. Burial will be delayed until the spring in Hillside Cemetery, East Canaan, due to the winter conditions. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the care of the Newkirk-Palmer Funeral Home, 118 Main St., North Canaan 06018.
