Her birth is recorded in Carroll County book 2, page 12.

According to the Carroll County, Ohio death records, Vol.2, page 8, #10, she died December 20, 1892 at the age of 14 years, 3 months & 16 days in Loudon Township, cause of death Diphtheria.

This was in the Carroll Chronicle, Carrollton, Ohio, Friday, December 30, 1892.

The diphtheritic scourge is having a fatal run in the little town of Kilgore. Of the 40 families who live there, there were only four that are not or had not been afflicted. "You couldn't see a child out on the streets last week," said our informant. There were five deaths in one week -- four from this disease. D. B. Miller's youngest son, aged two years, (Waldo), died on the 24th and was buried on Christmas day. A daughter of P. E. Miller, aged 7 years, (Thurza) died about the same time. They were brother's children. Both were buried the same afternoon--one at one o'clock and the other at three. J. B. Brandt's son, Bert, aged seven years, died on the 21st and was buried on the 22d. Thomas Warner's son, aged 5 years, 11 months died on the 18th. Miss Mary Shearer also died of general debility on the 21st. Mrs. Jesse Campbell was very bad on Monday her death was expected at almost any hour. the wife and five children of John B. Salmon all had the disease at the same time, but Mr. S. nursed them through it alone and almost unaided. He says that four weeks he was with them all the time. Miss Nettie Albaugh, aged about 14, a sister of Dr. A. P. Albaugh, is also dangerously ill with the disease. It has settled on her lungs and her friends have no hope of her restoration to health.
Since the above was in type the Albaugh girl has died, making the fifth death from diphtheria within ten days.
