Arlene Marie Miller was born March 6, 1931 to Peter and Martha (Ebert) Miller in Waseca, MN. She grew up there, attended and graduated from Waseca High School in 1949. Upon graduation, she moved to Alexandria, VA.
It was there she met and later married, in Waseca, MN, Clyde Alexander. She resided in Virginia for 21 years and was a homemaker, legal secretary, and federal government employee. After the death of her husband in August of 1973, Arlene returned to Waseca, MN and was employed as a county nurse, Assistant Deputy Registrar and Assistant County Recorder with Waseca County. She retired from Waseca County and then made her home in Bemidji.
Arlene was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Waseca and Trinity Lutheran Church, Bemidji. In her spare time, she loved to cook, spoil her grandchildren and serve God. She looked forward to one day being with her loved ones in heaven.
Arlene is survived by her children and grandchildren; Katherine (Jerry) Flogstad, of Waseca, MN, Michael (Bemidji) and Steven (Waseca), Robert Alexander, Amanda and Andrea of Berkley, CA, Karen "Bubbles" (Dennis) Thompson, John, Sandra and Laura, Bemidji, MN, Lifelong Childhood Friends, Kay and Ed Kath, Meriden, MN, Special Care Givers, Ruth DeFrance and Vicky Butler, Bemidji, MN, 2 sisters-in-law, Marilyn Miller, Oakland, CA and Loretta Buchanan, Alexandria, VA, several nieces, nephews and cousins plus 5 loveable granddogs..
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde and brother, Burnell "Bud" Miller.
