Paula Mae Albers, died Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Franklin County Hospital, Franklin, Nebraska. Paula was born in Hildreth, Nebraska on June 1, 1927 to Ralph and Anna Mae (Phelps) Allen.
Paula grew up in the Ash Grove area of Franklin County, Nebraska and graduated from Hildreth (NE.) High School. She attended The University of Nebraska at Kearney and then taught school for two years. On August 23, 1946 she married Ralph Albert Albers, Jr. To this union five children were born, Lindell, Randall, Vicky, Sharon and Janet. They lived and farmed south of Hildreth, Nebraska. In 1987 they moved into Hildreth, Nebraska. She was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Paula enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, quilting with her friends, reading, crossword puzzles, sewing, square dancing and senior dances in Kearney and Holdrege, Nebraska and last but not least, the game show network.
Survivors are: sons, Lindell Albers and wife Gail of Lawson, Missouri and Randall Albers and wife, Deb of Hildreth, Nebraska; daughters, Vicky Bronstad of Omaha, Nebraska, Sharon Jackson and husband, George of Salt Lake City Utah and Janet Sullivan and husband, Michael of Puyallup, Washington; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; great great grandson, Jayden Rackum.
Paula is preceded in death by: husband, Ralph Albert Albers, Jr.; sons in-law, David Bronstad and Ken Brock; brother, Robert Allen and sisters, Virginia Hess and Doris Koelmel.
Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hildreth, Nebraska with the Revs. Steve and Patti Byrne as officiators.
Interment was in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery south of Hildreth, Nebraska.
